This lesson plan teaches an interesting concept, the atmosphere, which is sometimes difficult for middle school students to understand. Students know that there is a layer of air around Earth, bu this lesson teaches the importance of keeping it clean. Through these projects, students will be able to make a real-world connection to their environment. This seems like an effective way to teach students about their atmosphere and how pollution affects it.

This lesson is beneficial for the students because it is an issue that affects many if not all of their lives directly and/or indirectly. The lesson plan offers an informative and compelling introduction; just enough to arouse their interest. Lesson offers history, technology, science, resources in which to research and achieve their learning objective. Thorough lesson plan. Two thumbs up!
