Use telescope to observe the sky by night.

Have the basic knowledge of planets.
Identify the Earth as a Planet.
Compare between stars and planets.
Recognize the planets of the solar system,
To make a model of the sun and eight planets.

Instructional Objective(s)

From earth, the moon and the sun appear to be the same size because the moon is so much closer to the earth than the sun.
Determine solar system planets and their orbit around the sun.
Distinguish between plants.
Use additional resources to get more facts about planets and stars.

Background:

What do you see when you look to the sky during day and during night.

We live in a city or town which is a part of country which in return part of a continent which located on the huge ball called earth planet which rotate around a massive star called the sun with other seven planets.

Materials:

Diagram of the Solar System

Slides mention sun ans the eight planets

Videos about the Solar System

9 different size fruits mention the sun and planets

Procedure:

Design a models of the sun and planets using 9 different sizes fruits from cherry to watermelon.
Performing a play in which 8 student with play the role of planet and other take the role of the sun explaining how planets orbit around the sun in a definite orbit, each student should give some facts about the certain celestial body.
