Goals:

Help students understand the life cycles (3 and 4 stages) of different animals.

Instructional Resources

Background:

Presentation - Life Cycle

Materials:

For the insects
● Air dry clay / off the shelf life cycle sets
● 3D printed bases (one colour for each insect)
● daiso
● plastic containers
● super strong magnets mini, 6mm diameter (from daiso)
● glue gun (to glue the insects onto the base)

For the boards
● corrugated boards (cut into 25 by 25 cm diameter )
● super strong magnets mini, 6mm diameter (from daiso)
● construction paper (at the back of each board corresponding to the colour of the base for the insect)
● markers (to decorate the board)

Procedure:

Students should go through the presentation slides first, before attempting the worksheet. Both presentation deck and worksheet can be found under "Resources" section.

The worksheet is primarily made up of multiple choice questions. This is to cater for students who do not have the fine motor skills to write.

Me encantaría poder llevar

Me encantaría poder llevar esta estrategia con mis alumnos de preescolar, sin embargo ellos aún no han desarrollado bien su motricidad fina por lo que su escritura aun está en la etapa de la grafología y tal vez en mi opinión podrías agregar el aplicar en diferentes niveles o una modificación para los mismos, aparte de redactar en si el procedimiento para aventurarnos más a lo que realmente se realizara.
